Dr. Joy Evans is a board-certified anesthesiologist and founder of Medela Amor, a medical practice in Columbus, OH dedicated to integrative wellness and aesthetic care. With over 15 years of experience in adult and pediatric anesthesiology, Dr. Evans brings a deep, hands-on understanding of the human body and a compassionate, relationship-based approach to healing. She created Medela Amor to offer care that is not only personalized and effective but also accessible. Driven by faith, personal transformation, and a mission to serve, Dr. Evans approaches every client with genuine care and a focus on healing from the inside out.
Dr. Evans earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from Baylor University and her Doctor of Medicine from Saba University School of Medicine. She went on to complete her residency in anesthesiology at the University of Missouri-Columbia, followed by a prestigious pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at Harvard University's Children's Hospital in Boston. Throughout her career, Dr. Evans has held numerous clinical, teaching, and leadership roles, including assistant professor at the University of Florida and Vice Chief of Anesthesiology at HCA Brandon Hospital for 8 years.. Her active medical licenses span several states, and she has presented nationally on complex pediatric and anesthesiology topics. Her expertise is grounded in academic excellence and years of real-world clinical experience.

I came to Medela Amor for lip filler. I had been wanting to do it for awhile but was scared of the unknown. My sister in law went first and once I saw hers and she told me the price, I said oh give me the number. So I went and I was very happy with the results. My other sister in law went and got hers done but had went somewhere else and paid twice as much as I did. Medela Amor had great pricing and also had payment options if you can’t afford the full price up front. The staff was very welcoming and friendly and made me feel very comfortable and right at home. This was my first time ever getting anything like this done and everything was explained to me in detail and she was very knowledgeable and very nice and answered any of my questions or concerns. I highly recommend this place. I drive an hour just to come here and I will not mind driving an hour to go back. I might try a little Botox next time.

I’ve been to a few Med Spas and this is my favorite and only place I go to know. They treat you like family and are very informative.
I would definitely recommend Medela Amor for your cosmetics needs. I got lip filler done by Lee Monday March 30, 2026 and she was great coming from getting Needless hyaluronic acid pen injections a waste of money, I could see the difference right away. I was so comfortable and she addressed my issues and concerns. I love my lips thank you Lee
